A short menu, done properly
Ground Control keeps things deliberately small. We'd rather do a handful of things well than pad out a menu — so the coffee is dialled in the same way every morning, the sourdough and bagels are made to order, and the beans you drink here are the beans you can buy on the way out. Regulars have been coming most Friday mornings for years, and they're greeted by name. The room is easy to sit in: laptops are welcome, the wifi does its job, and the secluded boardroom nook takes the casual meetings that don't belong in an office. Doors open at 7am on weekdays for the early crowd, and Saturday mornings are for the slow ones.
